First step, Select the File Menu, and select Options.
If you are using MS Word 2007, click the Office Button and select Options.
In the Word Options window, select Proofing.
Note on the When Correcting Spelling and Grammar in Word.
Uncheck the option Check Spelling as You Type and Mark Grammar Errors as You Type, and then click OK
